Maximus Baker is an American hard rock and heavy metal guitarist currently working as a solo instrumental artist. Born in 2002 in San Diego, California, he grew up in Camarillo and the greater Ventura County. He later relocated to South Carolina, where he now conducts all of his studio work.

Maximus began his guitar journey at the age of seven after receiving an Ibanez miKro RG for Christmas. Throughout his high school years, his primary goal was to find other talented musicians around his age in hopes of forming a band. His original ambition was to be the guitarist in a traditional rock band, inspired by early guitar heroes such as Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee, and Zakk Wylde. This search continued even after his move to South Carolina.

After years of pursuing band opportunities, Maximus chose to set that goal aside and instead follow the path of a instrumental guitarists like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. This decision required him to become fully self-sufficient, learning every aspect of music production, crafting his own guitar tones, recording, mixing, and mastering his music, as well as managing his own publishing  company and record label.

In 2024, Maximus released his debut EP, Before We See, which was an experimental project to explore and test his musical direction. In early 2025, he committed to creating a full-length album. That effort resulted in Loss for Words, an LP that took nearly a year to complete and was released on January 9, 2026.

Now fully invested in the instrumental guitar path, Maximus Baker continues to refine his sound and establish himself as one of the emerging young talents in modern rock and metal.
