Hey! at this time of October 19th, we are having some parts supply issues, you can still order your kit, but you may need to wait weeks until we get the parts needed to complete the boards. If this message disappears, that means we resolved the supply issues.
BA100 Conversion Kit
JCM2000 DSL100 Conversion Kit
Transform your JCM2000 DSL100 into a completely different amplifierβone capable of competing with the boutique amp market at a fraction of the price.
The BA100 is built around an authentic 800 circuit that has been extensively modified and pushed far beyond its original capabilities. From classic Plexi tones and Jose-style gain to aggressive, modern high-gain territory, the BA100 gives your DSL100 an entirely new voice and an enormous range of tonal possibilities.
The BA100 conversion kit includes a BA100 Main Board, Preamp Board, and Rear Board, all of which replace the original DSL100 boards. The kit also includes new black-and-gold polycarbonate front and rear faceplates, reflecting the expanded functionality of the amplifier's controls, and switches.
The PCB boards are constructed using high-quality materials and feature significant improvements in circuit-board design. Engineered for enhanced heat dissipation, these boards are designed to withstand extreme temperatures far better than standard PCB construction. The result is a more reliable, durable, and robust amplifier built for long-term performance, all hand built in the U.S.A
Kit Includes
New BA100 front and rear panels
3 PCB boards and all necessary connectors and hardware
Choke Modification
If you order the choke option, the main board comes with fast-on terminals, allowing you to easily install your own choke. We do not provide the choke. Ordering the standard option comes with the stock resistor.
What You Need
You will need a JCM2000 DSL100 amplifier. It is okay if the stock boards have failed, as long as the power transformer and output transformer are still functioning properly.
You will also need your own working preamp tubes and EL34 power tubes. We recommend installing a new matched set of EL34 power tubes as part of the rebuild.
Standard: The kit comes stock with the resistor for the choke.
Choke Terminals: The main board comes with fast-on terminals for easy installation of your additional choke. We recommend using the Mercury Magnetics MAR-DSL100H-C. Buy your own choke, we do not sell or provide chokes.
Ship & Build: For an additional $300, ship us your DSL100 and we will build the BA100 for you and ship it back. We only ask you to package your amp in a proper shipping box and provide a confirmed working EL34 set or a brand new matched set, please also provide your preamp tubes, we will not accept different types of tubes that are not EL34. We will provide shipping labels for both trips.
Please pick a variant option!
Standard: The normal kit, comes with the stock resistor for the choke.
Choke Terminals: Board comes with no resistor, instead with fast-on terminals to make easy wiring for your additional choke. (Have your own choke)

FILTHY CHANNEL
Classic British circuit, extensively modified to deliver the incredible β80s tones we all love. This channel features a switchable tube gain stage, taking you into another realm of gain, saturation, and harmonic richness.
GRITTY CHANNEL
Donβt want a modded monster? The Gritty channel takes you back to classic stock British tones, ranging from gritty cleans to cranked rock tones. This channel features a 2-way bright-cap switch, giving you even more control over your sound.

The original DSL100 FX loop has been removed and replaced with the popular LND150 FX loop circuit. This provides a clean, transparent signal path when using effects, preserving the ampβs natural tone without unwanted coloration or loss of clarity. The loop is designed to send the preamp signal to your effects and return it directly to the power amp. It is not recommended to use this loop to slave the amplifier into another power amp.

The heaters for the V1 and V2 preamp tubes run on DC voltage. Most amps use AC voltage for the tube heaters; however, using DC for the first two tubes significantly reduces amp noise and hiss, making a high-gain amp much more controlled and quiet.

The +Gain Stage adds an additional tube gain stage that operates exclusively on the Filthy channel. This gain stage is also footswitchable, utilizing the original DSL100 reverb switch jack for remote control. But the +Gain Stage isn't simply an on/off boost. It features its own dedicated Gain control, allowing you to independently adjust the amount of gain being added. This gives you the ability to blend the original preamp gain with the +Gain Stage to create everything from a subtle increase in saturation to an extremely aggressive high-gain voice. This gain stage is also the furthest down the signal chain, unlike gain upfront, you achieve a thicker sound.

The Thumpus knob functions as the BA100's depth control, allowing you to dial in exactly how much low-end thump and impact you want from the amplifier. Whether you prefer a tighter response or a huge, low-end-heavy sound, the Thumpus control puts the amount of low-end punch directly under your control.

The Fat/Tight switch affects the Filthy channel exclusively. With the switch out, the amplifier retains the typical British-style low-frequency response, which we refer to as Fat. Pressing the switch in engages the Tight setting, reducing low-end content earlier in the amplifier's circuit. This gives you direct control over how tight the amplifier responds and is particularly useful when switching between different guitars and pickup configurations.

Because the BA100 has been heavily modified and offers significantly more gain and tonal range than a stock 800, there is no need to rely on the traditional practice of running the EQ controls at maximum. As a starting point, we recommend setting the Bass, Middle, Presence and Treble controls at noon. This provides an equal amount of adjustment range in either direction, giving you maximum flexibility when shaping your tone.

The BA100 implements an authentic Jose-style SAT switch, designed to provide the characteristic tonal and response changes associated with this modification. When the SAT switch is engaged, the amplifier's master volume output is significantly reduced. This makes the feature particularly useful when you need to bring the amplifier down from stage-level volume to more manageable levels. Engaging the SAT switch also introduces additional gain, grit, and saturation, giving you another way to shape the amplifier's overall response. The SAT switch affects both channels. If you prefer the feel and tone of the SAT switch while it is engaged, simply use the channel master volumes to compensate for the reduction in output level and set the amplifier exactly where you want it. Keep in mind that once the master volumes are pushed beyond approximately noon, you will begin driving the power section harder, introducing additional power-amp tube saturation into the sound.

A two-position, switchable bright cap gives you additional control over the Gritty channel's response, allowing you to tailor the amount of high-frequency bite depending on your preferred gain level and playing style.
Treat the Filthy channelβs master volume like you would on a typical 800 style amp. We recommend setting it around 2β3 as a starting point. Once youβve dialed in your preferred Filthy channel volume, adjust the Gritty channelβs master volume to match its outputβor set it wherever you prefer. This allows you to switch between channels while maintaining control over volume and balancing the output of each channel.
